In which Kim meets a movie star! (Okay, not really)

Kristy (who I work under) was on a collecting trip this morning, so I was basically alone doing stuff. At one point I needed to use the hose so I grabbed it and felt something stab my finger. There was a metal shaving on the hose and now it was stuck in my finger.

I fiddled around with my finger for a bit, trying to get it out, but I couldn't. I thought I'd just keep working anyway, but it was driving me crazy. So the quest for tweezers began.

I asked around about tweezers and somebody told me to check the dive locker for a first aid kit. So I went up to the third floor and asked one of the divers where it was. He asked why and I showed him my finger, which he examined. He told me he'd help get it out adding "I'm not a doctor, but I play one on TV." I gave him a funny look. He said "No, really."

Okay, thought I. I asked him what show. Turns out he's on General Hospital and Days of Our Lives. LOL. He also owns a dive shop.

The dive locker's tweezers were plastic and absolutely useless, so the two of us went on a tweezer hunt around the aquarium. We ended up in the water quality lab, looking for something else to use instead. Twenty minutes into the ordeal, I managed to just get the stupid thing out of my finger by fiddling with it.

We never did find a good pair of tweezers.
