AT1 - Transient - 2004This is a drawing of one of the members of the AT1 transient group, possibly AT13. They are very unique because they do not share they same vocal calls as other transients who range along the northern Pacific coast. They are also genetically unique. Unfortunately, many members of this group disappeared in 1990, following the Exxon Valdez oil spill. If you are interested in learning more about these orcas, or even adopting one, visit the website for the North Gulf Oceanic Society. Drawing is from an original photo by Craig Matkin.
